  Mloptic Corp. and Asphericon have formed a partnership to offer high precision aspherics to the customers of the Asia-Pacific region.
Jena, Germany - asphericon GmbH, a leading technology company manufacturing challenging aspheric components using state-of-the-art CNC equipment has formed an exclusive partnership with Mloptic Corp.Nanjing, China. The two companies will work in conjunction to supply advanced optical products to the customers of the Asia-Pacific region and address the needs of the growing markets and industries that asphericon already serves in Europe and other parts of the world.

For the production of aspheres we use most modern CNC machinery and measurement techniques from the construction years 2003 till 2006.

The single production steps are in short:
- grinding (OptoTech - ASM-Serie)
- measuring (Taylor Hobson PGI 120 or 1240)
- polishing (OptoTech - SPF-, SPK- or ASP-Serie)
- measuring with interferometer (OptoTech / Zygo)
- final surface inspection and quality control .

Aspheres, free forms, parabolic reflectors, and axicons
We produce different aspheric, optic components. Besides "classical" aspheres, we produce spherical mirrors of different surface forms (from parabolic to elliptic), free forms, and axicons made from different materials.
Asphericon
Set amid the backdrop of Jena, a traditional optic location, asphericon produces complex optical components such as aspheres, free forms, parabolic reflectors, and axicons, using CNC machinery. The basis of the production process is a technology developed by asphericon implementing CNC grinding and polishing
machinery which has the ability to simulate polishing operations. For the first time, sphericon is able to produce large quantities with medium precision levels and smaller quantities with high precision levels.
With a completely networked manufacturing process all parameters and actual values are saved in a digital quality document. The asphericon technology enables us to make high level aspheres for application into high standard optical devices as well as high quantity production for mass market
